Our First Home Reno

Hey friends! Hope you are having a great week so far. Not sure how many of yall know, but my husband and I are both Realtors. January of 2017 was when I quit my full-time nursing job to pursue real estate full time with my Husband. I have learned so much from him, and we both really enjoy working together (most days.)😉

We bought our first flip thinking we were going to live in it for a while. Well, life happens and we both really missed being around Uptown. (If you are not familiar with Charlotte, that is what we call our "downtown.") The townhome we bought was in the Lake Norman area,  in a city, about 25 minutes from Uptown called, Cornelius. It is a really nice area and great if you love the lake. But with us both working in Real Estate we wanted to be in a more central location. So we ended up flipping it. It was a successful flip and we really enjoyed the process.

If y'all are like me, I love looking at before and after pictures of home renovations. So, enough talking let's get to the good stuff.

This reno was mostly cosmetic, meaning we did not take down walls or anything structural. It's crazy how new paint colors and floors can transform a place. The renovation we are currently working on is a little more than just cosmetic. But it is also a lot older than this townhouse. I can't wait to share the before and after with y'all! We are hoping to be finished mid-October, I'll let ya know.

Summer Night's Look

This look is perfect for a summer night out. I love shorts like this with a bodysuit. The wedges are not too high so I can wear them for hours. And lastly, I am obsessed with this Chloe "dupe" purse. The quality is great and it is only $56, crazy, I know! I also linked some of my other favorites below.
Hope everyone has recovered after the holiday!

Hello! Sorry I have been a little MIA on the blog. I missed y'all! This week's post is all about overalls! I recently got my first pair of overalls as an adult, and to be honest I was a little hesitant at first. I am glad I finally joined the club. They are so fun and cute I love wearing them casual or dressed up.
I love them with this off the shoulder top. It gives them a different look. When I was younger I had all these rules for the tops I would wear with overalls.
1. The top had to have some sort of sleeve, no sleeveless tops.
2. The top could not have a saying or graphic on it that the overalls would cover.
3. And the top had to be fitted.
The looks above would have violated all the rules. I would not have been caught dead in overalls with an off-the-shoulder top, but now I love it! Some of these rules still apply, but I am way more lenient in my old age.👵😜 Thank God!!

If you like it and feel good in it, wear it! That's my motto.
